Our People

We have a team of people on site 24 hours a day at The Point who you’ll get to know when you live here. You can mostly find them on the ground floor where they’re always around to answer a question, lend a hand or just have a chat.

I’ve been City Operations Manager here at The Point for two years now. My job here is to make sure everything is under control, from making sure the apartments are clean and tidy, looking after enquiries and payments, training members of the team, to helping to run an event. I need to wear a lot of different hats!

I’ve been at The Point pretty much since we first opened, and the team I work with is my favourite thing about the job. Even though some of them are quite new we all fit together and support each other really well and that means a lot. It takes the pressure off as everyone is so invested!

I’ve always lived in Aberdeenshire. People are very friendly, there’s a real local feel here. Everyone says hello to everybody else! I go out cycling and walking the hills a lot. There are so many great places close to here whether you’re looking to be in a touristy spot like Balmoral Castle or want to find yourself in the middle of nowhere - you don’t have to go far to feel away from it all.

I’m facilities and estates manager which means I do a bit of everything from dealing with site health and safety to overseeing contractor visits. No two days are the same and that’s my favourite part of the job.

The development is really central with lots of restaurants and shops so it’s nice to be able to pop out on your lunch break, although it does mean takeaways are too easily accessible!

When I’m not working, I like to spend time with the family. With Aberdeen you’ve got the best of both worlds, there’s the city and everything in it but you’re also two seconds away from the countryside.

We also spent a lot of time at the beach, my daughter's 18 months old and she loves it down there. It’s a lovely spot with shops, cafes, bars and arcades. We quite often see the dolphins, living here you can take them for granted a wee bit, but having the dolphins jump around you is always amazing!

I’m the senior customer service ambassador which means I need to be a bit of a jack of all trades as I work with both our current and future residents. Days can consist of anything from dealing with people moving in, to helping out the person who wants an additional toaster in their apartment.

I love working with the team here, clubs together and helps each other out. We’re all very close and have such a laugh together.

I’ve lived here all my life, so I know the area around The Point really well, it’s only a three-minute walk from the town centre. When it’s winter I’m always so excited to spend some time in my local pub getting snug!
